President Pranab Mukherjee announces Aakash 2 tablet, will be sold to students for INR 1,132

File photo of the Aakash tablet The second version ( third in a way ) of the low-cost tablet meantfor students, which never seems to reach the students, was announced at a press event earlier today. Dubbed as Aakash 2, the tablet will be sold to students across India for a subsidized price of INR 1132. Aakash 2 features a 1GHz processor, Android 4.0 , seven-inch capacitive display and will give four hours of battery backup. Indian president Pranab Mukherjee unveiled the device at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi and the launch event was attended byhundreds of teachers across the country through online video conferencing. There is still no clarity on how thetablet is going to be distributed tothe students in the country. We are trying to find out and will update the post accordingly. Micromax officially launches A90s, A110 in India, available now

Micromax has officially announced the launch of A90s Superfone Pixel and the already available A110 Superfone Canvas 2 in India. Both the smartphones can be purchased right now in major retails stores across the country. Micromax A90s and A110 are the upgraded version of company’s earlier announced A90 and A100 dual-SIM smartphones . Both the phone features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, dual-SIM connectivity and dual-core processors. Coming to Micromax A90s, the smartphones comes with 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera , 0.3MP front camera, and 4.3-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, The smartphone also features 1600 mAh battery, 4GB of storage and 512MB RAM. A90s is available at INR 12,990 On the other hand, Micromax A110 comes with 5-inch display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 2GB internal storage, 2000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS. HTC launches One X+ in India, available this month for INR 40,190

In addition to HTC Desire SV , HTC has also announced the launch ofOne X+ smartphone for the Indian market. According to a press release issued by the company just now, One X+ will beavailable in the country sometimethis month for INR 40,190. HTC One X+ improves on the processor, internal storage, front camera and battery front from original One X. One X+ features Jelly Bean, Sense 4+, 1.7GHz quad-core processor , 8MP rear camera , 1.6MP front camera and 64GB of internal storage. It also comes with 2100 mAh battery, Beats Audio , 1GB RAM , and 4.7-inch 720p display. According to HTC , the newer version Sense on the One X+ brings improved interface and more enhancements in camera, Beats Audio and media handling.
